1-to-1 Coaching sessions usually include two parts:
A combination of coaching and mentoring is a unique way of finding what works for you and helping you achieve your goals. Coaching helps a coach get to know you better, understand the core of the issue, and then apply the most appropriate techniques in the mentoring part of the sessions.
What is coaching?
It is a partnership between a coach and a client. A coach works with you by asking various questions to help you gain better insights about your situation. A coach encourages deep thinking that explores various possibilities and ways of dealing with your issues. Working with a coach helps you see a different perspective on a situation.
In coaching, we believe that the best answers reside inside each of us, and it is those answers that can make the biggest impact on you. A coach does his/her best at creating an environment where you feel comfortable sharing, and he/she is there to support you in the journey of finding your answers.
It is important to note that coaching is not therapy and does not substitute for therapy if needed, and does not prevent, cure, or treat any mental disorder or medical disease. Client is solely responsible for creating and implementing his/her physical, mental and emotional well-being, decisions, choices, actions and results arising out of or resulting from the coaching relationship.
Although during coaching sessions we sometimes explore events from the past, our focus is on the future - we discuss what works best for you, and what can you do differently to have the future that you want to have.
What is mentoring?
During mentoring process you are encouraged to try various exercises and techniques that could help you further achieve your goals.
During these sessions your Performance Coach uses knowledge from:
and other fields.
